八戒虽西天取经修得正果，也在三界谋了份闲差，做了个净坛使者。但却凡心未改，依旧对翠兰念念不忘，于是便只身去往高老庄寻求佳人。
哎，奈何翠兰却嫌八戒又丑又穷，一顿数落后，毅然就嫁给了当地靠捡破烂发家致富的老翁。
他一气之下，辞掉了工作，将九齿钉耙改装成捡宝神器，又把从仙友那里借来的风火轮、聚宝盆、炼丹炉等神物改装成能装载破烂的货车。
茫茫三界中，数破烂最多，天上、地下、海底...比比皆是。
八戒将‘加油'、努力’打鸡血之类的字样烙在心里，用‘三界无敌帅气豪金猪’、‘未来三界破烂之大神’的称号来标榜激励自己，誓必要捡尽三界全部的破烂才肯罢休。
