Action Adventure Sci-Fi First-Person Landscape Large-scale Independent Ported

第二次遭遇中的故事紧接着前作。在前作中，英雄萨姆通过时间旅行回到了古代的埃及，在击败了邪恶之灵无数的手下之后，他成功的登上了一艘能将他直接带到敌人老巢心脏地区的异形太空船。不幸的是，飞船无缘无故地坠落在了地球的北美洲上。就像前作一样，英雄萨姆：第二次遭遇并不太注重情节。故事情节的交代相当简单，只用了简单的几句话来介绍游戏中大量华丽、奇异的关卡和各种各样的怪物、陷阱、武器和能量块。
